    The Γβ·Ρ½ϋΒώ responds to requests for assistance from small businesses and family enterprises that are in dispute with other businesses or Commonwealth Government agencies. 

    We provide information about dispute resolution options, access to mediation, alternative dispute resolution processes under the Franchising, Horticulture, Dairy and Oil Codes of Conduct, and assistance with disputes with the ATO.

If you are looking for help to resolve a business dispute, try our Dispute Support tool, which can assist you to find the most appropriate service.

If you were unable to find the help you need, use our to lodge a dispute. Before completing this form, please refer to the Assistance Charter that outlines our rights, obligations and explains what we can both expect in our dealings with each other.

A complaint may be made on behalf of a complainant by a guardian, friend, advocate or family member, but the person acting on behalf of the complainant must have written authorisation and verify their identity. 

There are no fees or charges for making a complaint. Your complaint should include: 

  • a brief description of your concern, including
    • what happened
    • when it happened
  • the name of the relevant departmental area or contact person
  • your contact details. 

We will use your contact details to contact you about your complaint. Sometimes we may ask you for additional information in order to investigate your complaint. If you do not provide this, it may affect how we handle your complaint. 

If we receive a complaint from you, we will decide what action, if any, we should take to resolve the complaint. 

We will contact you about your complaint within 14 days. If you are not satisfied with our response to your complaint, you can contact the .
